We are testing cheese for children

A nice change for porridges and milk is cheese. Children like to eat them and parents put them in a shopping cart. Especially for you we have taken a look at some of the most popular products. All prepared for children over three years of age. If you are curious what secrets are hidden under the lids, I invite you to read the article.

Bakuś

Fluffy homogenized cheese with chocolate flavor, 110g price PLN 1.65.

The product is intended for children over 3 years of age (as reported by the manufacturer on the packaging). He received a positive opinion of the Children's Health Center. The packaging contains the manufacturer's contact number, website and information about the temperature at which the product should be stored (from 2 to 6 degrees C).

Composition:

  • Skimmed cottage cheese
  • Cream
  • Biscuit input (sugar, 1.2% reduced-fat cocoa, thickeners: modified corn starch, pectin (binder); chocolate powder 0.03%, acidity regulator: citric acid (harm that not ascorbic); aroma , enriching substances: vitamins A, D, E)
  • Sugar
  • Pork gelatin
  • Milk Proteins

The cheese was made of pasteurized milk. Contains gluten and eggs. The leaflet warns that it may contain trace amounts of nuts.

Since, according to the manufacturer's recommendation, the product is not suitable for my seventeen-month-old child, I started tasting myself.

Bakuś definitely for quickly disappears from the packaging. It seems so light that almost does not feel that something has hit the stomach. If it were not for the characteristic trace in the form of the taste that remained after it and the empty packaging, I could easily say that I have not eaten anything a moment ago. Thus is not a filling meal. I would treat it as a snack than as one of the meals. When it comes to chocolate content, and more specifically cocoa, it's just funny. It is a pity that there are no standards that regulate how much chocolate or vanilla a product should contain in order to be able to call it e.g. chocolate cheese. Although the producer does not mislead the consumer and the lid clearly shows "Chocolate flavor", after such a popular product I expected something more chocolate.

Bakuś in its composition does not contain calcium at allinstead, it was enriched with vitamins A (has a beneficial effect on eyesight, is involved in building enamel), D (increases the body's resistance, its deficiency causes rickets) and E (accelerates wound healing, positively affects the appearance of the skin).

Look- aesthetically designed convenient packaging.
Consistency- delicate, fluffy foam, visible traces of bubbles.
Smell- Kefir reminds me, a delicate chocolate note appears.
Taste- slightly sour, not too sweet.
Colour- looks like dissolved in cocoa milk.

Consistency- the cheese is thick, smooth, free of lumps, with visible pieces of vanilla.
Taste - pleasant, vanilla, sweet.
Smell - milky.
Colour- light, creamy, with dark vanilla flecks.

When it comes to price and taste, then my favorite. I use the cheesecake version for the kilo packaging. It stands out positively against the background of other vanilla cheeses, which in their composition have an imperceptible vanilla or are even stuffed with sugar and vanillin. When it comes to availability, it can only be found on the shelf in Biedronki refrigerators. My daughter likes to eat him. The product is ideal for lunch or a sweet afternoon tea. Satisfies hunger for a long time.

And now a bit of controversy. Did you know that obese American society accuses glucose-fructose syrup, which is contained in Tutti cheese, for the main reason for your carcase and diabetes? In the food industry, this ingredient is used as a sweetener. Scientists have proven that frequent consumption of products containing this sweetener contributes to the increase in bad cholesterol !!

From time to time freebies are added to the packaging - spoons, stickers, etc.

Strawberry Danonki are tasty, but they do not owe their color to these fruits. For this, a natural dye, which is red beet juice, was used. They were enriched with calcium and vitamin D. The absorption of this element would be difficult without it. In addition, they contain oligofructose, which is a prebiotic. It supports the multiplication of Bifidobacteria, which by producing enzymes reduce the colonization of pathogenic bacteria.

Product appearance - small, one-color, easy-to-use cups, perfect as a snack on the go. Plastic containers are decorated with dragon heads - Danonka, have an unstable base - after placing in a bucket, the spoon falls over.

Cottage cheese terribly artificial in taste and appearance. The least tasty, containing the most, as much as 7.2g of sugar in the package. He did not like me or my child. Gismo contains carob flour, a natural polysaccharide, which you can also find in Nestle Sinlac. Its name comes from the beliefs that one of the apostles - John the Baptist - consumed the pods of this plant. The thickeners in the form of guar gum (also a stabilizer) and xanthan gum used in the production improve the taste and give a feeling of fullness. Calcium carbonate provided by the manufacturer is a crystalline substance that is also used to make writing chalk.
