Problems with concentration
If there are too many toys in the room, there is a risk that the child will find it difficult to concentrate. A common consequence is reaching for one item, abandoning it and choosing the next one over and over again.
Parents and grandparents in such situations sometimes think that they wrongly believe that when a few-year-old does not play with what he has, it means that he is bored and should be bought another soft toy, car, doll, or set. Meanwhile, this is only partly true.
Many parents have noticed that just hide some of the toys for a few weeks and take them out in turnthat the toddler starts playing with them again. The solution can also be the introduction of the principle that we are playing with one type of toys at once, for example blocks or stuffed animals. When a child wants to play with something else, we hide the given toy and give it another. This method may require more involvement from parents, but over time it usually brings satisfactory results. With each passing day there is a chance that the child will be able to focus for longer and his fun will become more creative.
Problems with a lack of imagination
Many teachers wring their hands with every new year coming to school. He doesn't hide his surprise at how poor the imagination of children are and how great the trouble comes when creating a story on a given topic. Creating a fairy tale or writing a story on a selected topic creates a very big problem for them.
Psychologists emphasize that the reason lies in misunderstood love of parents, kwho, from an early age, come up with ways of spending time without giving the child time to get bored or find entertainment. Children who get everything as if on a tray: cartoons on TV instead of reading books, mascots dancing, singing and smiling instead of puppets, which you can "move" on your own - they lose their natural ability to spend time in the world of imagination. For this reason, it is so important to allow your child to initiate creative games with imagination.
Sleeping problems, getting through
For an adult, the surroundings of a three-month-old baby with several stuffed animals, the inclusion of a colorful carousel at the time, an attempt to give a rattle can be natural and without even reflection that it is too much. Meanwhile, the youngest children are extremely sensitive, they have an uneducated nervous system and often what seems to be "nothing" for us, is already a big challenge for them to embrace all the stimuli they are attacked.
It's like imagining being in a disco for 24 hours, where we are surrounded by a buzz of conversations, loud music, colorful lights and huge space. We'll be fine for a few hours, but what will happen next? When we go outside, there will probably be noise in our ears, and we will still hear music in our heads, and our eyes will not function perfectly. Before we fall asleep, we will need a longer walk or several dozen minutes to wind down.
When we add to the fact that small children can not calm down and relax themselves, we can look at loud, glowing toys from a different perspective, understanding that sometimes there are not only unnecessary, but also harmful. It is often because of them that the children are nervous, they sleep too little and often wake up at night.
A little materialist
Many parents, grandmothers or uncles, when choosing a toy for a child, decide on something impressive, something that will immediately catch the attention and overshadow other toys that you have to "think about" longer. He is proud that the toddler is happy to see the twentieth car, and his beloved granddaughter smiles that she got another singing doll. Meanwhile, choosing such toys, we not only remain creative and we infect the child with this feature, but we also build the child's habit of expecting a "magnificent trifle".
More often, a child should be given creative gifts: crayons, coloring books, interesting board games, cards, books, various masses, from which a toddler could create various objects. It's invaluable too time, fun together, going out.
Raising a child in the spirit of consumerism, which he assumes instead of attachment to his beloved mascot, or the ability to play in different ways with the same blocks, thinking: that what is new is more valuable, we hurt him. Such action creates a not very glorious approach to reality, a demanding attitude, demanding and not raising objection.
Of course, do not go overboard by denying your child any entertainment, because the child, thanks to toys and the ability to show them to his peers, builds a sense of belonging to a group. However, it is inadvisable to agree on every whim and fulfill all wishes of a few years. The basis is moderation.
Toys not adapted to age
Many parents say their children are far more developed than their peers. They are convinced that toys adapted to their age are too simple. Meanwhile, this is another mistake that makes a child who is not yet a month old surrounded by stuffed animals for a year-old, and the one who is ninety days old receives rattles ideal for children after the age of six months.
What are the effects? Often far-reaching, which is not associated with the cause. The toddler is annoyed, doesn't know how to play with a toy. Instead of causing a smile on your face, the object gives up. In some cases, you also need to bear in mind the danger that can arise when a child's toy is unsuitable for age.
On the other hand, you have to be aware of that many items sold to children are marked incorrectly. Manufacturers on the packaging, wanting to present the object in the best way possible, suggest that the toy is intended and suitable for children in a wide range of time. That is why it is worth observing the child and trying to suppress his own ambition so as not to suggest toys for which the child simply has time. Each stage in development is equally important and accelerating anything makes no sense.
Attention replacement toys
Parents, grandparents and loved ones buy too many toys for various reasons. They often want the toddler to have the best of everything that they could not have. Through expensive items, they also try to compensate the child for lack of time and give something that sweetens the child's absence. Unfortunately, the truth is ruthless and cannot be bribed in any way: nothing can replace time devoted to a child. No toy will give love.
